Atlanterhavsparken

Atlanterhavsparken is one of Northern Europes largest saltwater aquariums.

Get to know the vast lifeforms of the scandinavian oceans, watch the feeding of both penguins and seals, or explore the interactive science museum.

There are also shallow sensory pools where you can touch and hold sea urchins- if you dare!

Rent a row-boat

Wan to enjoy a day on the water? Rent a row-boat at Sunnmøre Museum!

You can rent the boat by the hour, or for an entire day.

They have different sized boats, tents for rent and lifejackets you can borrow.

The prizes start at 100 NOK.

Beaches

During the summer you can enjoy several popular beaches in Ålesund that are perfect for swimming, grilling and just chilling.

- At Voldsdalsberga, 5 min from the city center, you will find two beaches complete with diving board, sand volleyball fields and opportunities for frisbeegolf.

- Tueneset - to the west of Ålesund, 6 minutes from the city center has a lovely beach. There are also wonderful places to hike there,

Moa Swimming pool

15 minutes by car from Ålesund Moa swimming pool is located. It is a popular destination with several pools and water slides.

They offer pool toys for rent and there are tanning beds for you to use,.

The pool is located close to the big shopping mall Moa kjøpesenter if you need to do some shopping.

Farm animals

Visit the open farm and make some furry friends!

Located a mere 5 kilometers from the city center, by Borgund church and Sunnmøre Museum

Bring your kids and let them get to know the horses, goats, pigs and chickens.

Sightseeing by bus

Explore the most beautiful city in Norway by climbing aboard CitySightseeing Norways buses.
