Ålesund and the surrounding areas can be an exciting place for the whole family! Explore the mysteries of the deep Atlantic Ocean, meet cute new animal friends at the visitation farm, let the children unfold themselves in large and fun play constructions and deepen their minds in thrilling language and cultural history. ByBADET
ByBadet is Ålesund's new and beautiful water park! It is located only a 2-minute walk from the hotel and is a wonderful place for both children and adults. It offers a children's pool, activity pool, fitness pool, wave pool, water flow canal, diving tower, slides, whirlpool and therapy pool. Here you can also relax in the cafe while the children enjoy themselves! When you are not going to southern Europe, you can enjoy the same summer temperature in Bybadet! ATLANTIC SEA PARK
The Atlantic Sea Park is one of the largset salt water aquariums in Northern Europe. Here you can learn more about the known and unknown life in the deep seas of the Atlantic Ocean. Don't miss the feedings where you will meet cute penguins, seals and fish. A visit to the activity room is also strongly reccommended, where you can reach out and touch urchins, sea cucumbers, starfish, etc.. Children's Play Country (Barnas Lekeland)
Barnas Lekeland is uniqe activity facility made up by 1400 square metres of large and fun play constructions. Let the children unfold themselves in magnificent hurdles, ball-pitches, slides and climbing walls where they can enjoy an active, healthy and challenging adventure. There are different activity zones for different ages (primary for 0-12 years). Café, free wireless internet, free parking and parent's lounge. Rent a rowboat
Would you like to rent a rowboat? Rent one at the Sunnmøre Museum! Here you can rent a boat for an hour or two, a whole day or over night if you'd like. They offer boats of different sizes and in addition they also have Lavvus for rent and lifejackets you can borrow. Prices from 100,- NOK per boat. Beaches
During summer there are many beautiful and popular beaches in Ålesund and surrounding areas - perfect for swimming, sunbathing, barbecuing, and other beach activities. Ask your receptionist for directions. 
- At Voldsdalsberga, 5 minutes by car from the hotel, you will find two beautiful beaches south of Voldsdalen Camping. Diving board, beach volleyball court and frisbeegolf course.
- Tueneset - far west in Ålesund, 6 minutes by car from the hotel, next to the Atlantic Sea Park. Also a great area for diving, barbecuing and hiking.
- Prinsen - an idyllic beach in Gåseide, 10 minutes by car from the hotel.
- Emblemssanden - a great beach approx. 20 kilometres from the hotel with beach volleyball court and large lawn area for frisbee and ball playing. 
- Other beaches surrounding Ålesund: Blimsanden, Giskesanden and other great beaches on the islands of Vigra, Giske and Godøy.

Moa Swimming Centre
15 minutes by car from the hotel, you will find Moa Swimming Centre - a popular swimming facility with pools of different sizes and lang water slides encouraging fun and play. Borgund Animal Club
The visitation farm of Borgund Animal Club is located only 5 kilometres from the centre of Ålesund, next to Borgund Church and Sunnmøre Museum. Bring your children and visit the horses, goats, mini pigs and the other cute animals at the club. They now and then offer children's horseback riding. Hop on - Hop off Sightseeing Buss
Experience the beautiful town of Ålesund with the CitySightseeing Norway double deckers.
Hop on Hop off stops include Sunnmøre Museum, the fabulous views from Aksla Viewpoint Fjellstua, the Atlantic Sea Park and several stops in the charming town center. Learn more about Ålesund, which is famous for its unusually consistent and unique concentration of Art Nouveau style architecture. Fjellstua Aksla
On the top of the city mountain Aksla, you will find the viewpoint and café Fjellstua Aksla, where you can absorb the magnificent panoramic view of Ålesund and the surrounding sea, fjords and alps. To reach Fjellstua you can walk up the 418 steps from the city park, catch a ride with the Town Train (Bytoget), the Hop on/Hop off Sightseeing bus, taxi or by own car.
